The Kiwanis Club of Clinton Township presented a check for $15,000 at a chili cook-off-corn hole fundraiser for the Clinton Township Inclusive Playground. Last year’s club president, Kerry Jantz - a member of the Clinton Township Inclusive Playground Committee - had the privilege of suggesting how the club would disperse its fundraising proceeds for that year. The Clinton Township Kiwanis Club donated $15,000 to the project. Ground-breaking is anticipated in the spring. The playground, to be built near the main Clinton-Macomb Public Library, will serve everyone equally, including the 4,600 people in Clinton Township who have intellectual and physical disabilities. Clinton Township’s future inclusive playground received $1 million from the recently passed State of Michigan budget.
